Project Management
ATLAS organizes your work into projects. Each project contains all data related to a specific engagement.
Creating a Project
Section titled “Creating a Project”- Go to Projects (bottom navigation)
- Tap the + icon in the top right
- Enter project details:
- Project Title (required)
- Client name
- Facility address
- Start/end dates
- Points of contact
Project Data
Section titled “Project Data”Each project contains:

| Cards | Captured access cards linked to this project |
| POIs | Points of interest at the facility |
| Notes | Field notes with GPS coordinates |
| Map Data | Situational awareness items (cameras, ALPR, entry points, barriers, security personnel) |
| Goals | Statement of work checklist |
Active Project
Section titled “Active Project”Set a project as “active” to automatically associate new data:
- Card reads are tagged with the active project
- GPS coordinates are captured for new items
- Notes and POIs default to the active project
To set active:
- Open Projects
- Tap the ⋮ menu on a project
- Select Set as Active
The active project shows a icon.
Project Details
Section titled “Project Details”Projects can store comprehensive engagement info:
Facility Information
Section titled “Facility Information”- Street address (auto-geocodes to GPS coordinates)
- Facility ownership (owned/leased)
- Sole occupant status
- Floors occupied by client
Security Measures
Section titled “Security Measures”- Security personnel type (in-house, third-party, law enforcement)
- Armed/unarmed status
- Security provider name
- Lead security officer contact info
Points of Contact
Section titled “Points of Contact”- Primary POC (name, title, phone, email)
- Alternate POC
- Owner/manager contact
Goals & Restrictions
Section titled “Goals & Restrictions”- Statement of work goals (checklist with completion tracking)
- Project drivers/concerns
- Prohibited actions
- Off-limits areas
- Incident reporting process
Export
Section titled “Export”Export your project for reporting or backup:
- Open the project
- Tap the Export button
- Select what to include:
- Project details
- Notes
- POIs
- Cards
- Situational awareness items (entry points, barriers, cameras, security personnel)
- Optionally set a password for encryption
- Optionally include a map screenshot
Files are saved to /Android/data/io.mwgroup.atlas/files/exports/ as .json files.
Password-protected exports have _encrypted in the filename.
Import
Section titled “Import”Import projects from other ATLAS devices:
- Go to Projects
- Tap the ↑ (import) icon in the top right
- The file picker opens to the ATLAS directory (
/storage/emulated/0/ATLAS/) - Navigate to your
.jsonexport file - If the file is encrypted, enter the password
- If a project with the same ID exists, choose to Replace or Create New
Tip: Copy your export files to the
/storage/emulated/0/ATLAS/directory for easy access.
ATLAS imports all associated data: notes, POIs, cards, and situational awareness items.
