Notes & POIs

Capture field observations and mark important locations during your security assessments. Both notes and POIs support GPS tagging with the ability to fine-tune locations on the map.


With an active project selected, the home screen displays quick action tiles:

  • Quick Note — Create a new GPS-tagged note
  • Add POI — Mark a location on the map
  1. Open your project
  2. Navigate to the Notes or POIs tab
  3. Tap + to create new items
  4. Long-press existing items to Edit or Delete
  1. Open the project map
  2. Tap +Note or Point of Interest
  3. The item is created at the tapped location

Create timestamped, GPS-tagged field notes during engagements.

  1. Enter a Title (required)
  2. Enter the Body text (observations, findings, etc.)
  3. Enable Include GPS Data to tag the note’s location
  4. Tap the map to adjust the marker position
  5. Tap Save

  1. Navigate to project → Notes
  2. Long-press the note → Edit
  3. Modify title, body, or location
  4. Tap Update

Fine-tuning locations: If GPS was inaccurate during annotation, tap the map to reposition the marker or manually edit the coordinates.


Mark important locations on the map with draggable markers.

  1. Enter a Name (required)
  2. Enter an optional Description
  3. The marker starts at your current location or facility center
  4. Drag the marker to the exact position
  5. Or tap the map to place it precisely
  6. Tap Save

  1. Navigate to project → POIs
  2. Long-press the POI → Edit
  3. Update name, description, or drag the marker to a new location
  4. Tap Update
  • Tap a POI marker to view details
  • Long-press for context menu (Edit, Delete, Navigate)
  • Navigate opens the location in your external mapping app

Both notes and POIs support location adjustment after creation:

  1. Tap-to-place — Tap anywhere on the map to reposition
  2. Drag markers — POIs support dragging the marker directly
  3. Manual entry — Edit the latitude and longitude fields for precision

This is useful when:

  • Initial GPS reading was inaccurate
  • You need to annotate a location you weren’t standing at
  • Correcting for bad geo data

Notes and POIs are included in project exports:

  • Project JSON — Full data including metadata, timestamps, and coordinates
  • KML — For Google Earth, TAK, and mapping applications

All GPS coordinates, timestamps, and metadata are preserved during export.
